We created this guide to help Fresno families access free and low-cost programs, services, and activities all summer long. From summer meals and cooling centers to camps and family-friendly events, you’ll find a variety of resources to make this season easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) 

Fresno Unified will provide free meals during the summer!

  • Program begins on Monday, June 15.

  • Meals will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at all campuses operating summer school and will be available Monday through Friday at participating sites.

  • The end date for meals varies by site.

  • There will be no meal service on June 19 and July 3.

  • Meals are available for children ages 1-18 and must be consumed on site.

  • Meals will be served at all comprehensive high schools, 66 elementary schools, 11 middle schools and three alternative/specialty school site (see the flyer above or find the Spanish and Hmong flyers below)

Fresno County EOC  

Food distribution Calendar: Food Distributions - Fresno EOC

  • Fresno EOC provides food to families residing in rural communities and inner-city areas impacted by weather issues and economic downturn.

  • No documentation is required to receive food.

  • They will only ask for your first and last name.

Friendly reminder, all pools may be closed intermittently for maintenance. Youth participants must be potty trained, no swim diapers allowed.

Swim Lessons

City of Fresno offers swim lessons are available to:

  • Ages 3+

  • All swimming levels

  • Free to City of Fresno residents under 18 and Fresno Unified School District students

  • City of Fresno Residents 18+ = $100

  • Non- City of Fresno Residents = $133

Fresno County Public Library - Summer at Your Library (June 15 - August 2)

Summer at Your Library starts June 15th!



This year, the Fresno County Public Library is partnering with the Fresno Chaffee Zoo with the theme "Go Wild For Reading!" Join Summer at Your Library, Fresno County Public Library's reading challenge and events for all ages.

Fresno Unified School District offers a variety of free Summer Enrichment Camps for TK-12th grade students! Camps include hands-on learning in STEM, adventure and exploration, sports, college and career discovery, and creative arts to promote critical thinking, physical activity, and teamwork.

Regal Summer Movie Express


If you’re looking for affordable family activities, don’t miss Regal’s Summer Movie Express! During summer break, enjoy a series of great family movies returning to the big screen.


Each week from June 1 to August 13 get $1 Summer Movie Express tickets starting at 11AM Monday through Thursday.


All attendees of a Summer Movie Express title will receive $3 off a cup of refreshingly cold Dippin’ Dots ice cream and a Snack Pack, which includes a junior-sized drink, popcorn, and fruit gummies.
