GROWN WOMAN TALK: A DISCUSSION WITH DR. SHARON MALONE ON MENOPAUSE, EFFECTIVE TREATMENTS, AND SELF-ADVOCACY

Updated: 2 days ago

We had a fantastic time hosting Dr. Sharon Malone for a very special event in November. Dr. Malone is a nationally known expert in women’s health and the New York Times Bestselling author of Grown Woman Talk. She is also the Chief Medical Advisor for the digital health platform, Alloy Women’s Health.

Two people in orange suits sit on stage in an ornate hall, engaging in a discussion. They're flanked by plants and modern lamps.

Dr. Malone captivated the audience, educating us on menopause, effective treatment of its symptoms, and the importance of advocating for ourselves in health care. We left the event so much more informed about practical options to alleviate suffering and improve well-being throughout the menopausal journey.

The event drew over 150 attendees, including community members, healthcare providers, and partners. Following the presentation, Dr. Malone participated in a live Q&A session, where audience members had the opportunity to ask questions. She concluded the evening by signing copies of her book.

Since the event, we have received so many kind messages from attendees. One guest shared, “I left feeling uplifted by the time in community and inspired by Dr. Malone’s presentation.”

It was a joy to host Dr. Malone for the day leading up to the event. During her visit, we had the chance to show her around our beautiful Fresno community.

Our first stop was her stunning billboard at Blackstone & Divisadero. From there, we headed to the BWPC office, where Dr. Malone met our team, connected with community partners, and got to see our high-fidelity birthing simulator, Olivia, in action!

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Malone for taking the time to join us and making her way to Fresno. Stay tuned for details on another event with Dr. Malone as we continue the conversation!
