On July 8th, 2025, our team traveled to Sacramento to support SB 520 - Nurse-midwifery education program, which aims to address the shortage of nurse-midwives in California by funding new, state-based education programs.

We’re proud of Brittany Mbong, Certified Nurse Midwife Manager, who advocated on behalf of BWPC and spoke to the urgent need for culturally competent care and community-connected midwives in underserved areas.
