Mpox, also known as monkeypox, is a virus. Currently, reported cases show that gay and bisexual men are at a higher risk. However, anyone can get infected with mpox, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, or other social characteristics. To keep the current risk of mpox very low to the general public and protect our community, it is important for everyone to learn the facts.
MPOX SYMPTOMS:
Fever and chills
Rash that looks like pimples or blisters. This rash can cover all or parts of the body, including the inside of the mouth and the genitals. Rash typically forms 1-4 days after flu-like symptoms appear
Swollen lymph nodes (small pea-sized organs that fight infection. Lymph nodes can be felt in the neck, ear & underarm areas)
Headache
Tiredness
Muscle/body aches, backaches
