ADVOCACY
WORK

BWPC advocates for Belonging, Love, Affinity, Community, and Kinship through culturally congruent system improvements across the life course to advance well-being and improved outcomes for Black women, babies, and families.

We engage with institutions, policy, and decision makers to develop sustainable solutions for racial disparities. In the past years we have collaborated on county and state-level legislations that elevate significant Maternal and Infant Health issues. Our recent work in Fresno County includes collaborating on proclamations to raise public awareness around preterm birth education and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). We also focus on civic education around reproductive justice and encourage community involvement in processes impacting their lives.
